JCW Group, in partnership with a leading international insurer, is seeking a Senior Audit Manager to join the U.S. Internal Audit team in the Greater Chicago area.

You will lead risk-based audits across Commercial P&C, collaborate with senior leaders, and drive improvements in policies, controls, and operations. Qualifications

• 8+ years of internal audit, operational risk, or consulting experience within insurance, preferably Commercial P&C.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations including underwriting, claims, and policy lifecycle.
• Proven experience leading audits or projects focused on operational effectiveness and business processes.
• Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business units.
• Experience with SOX or regulatory frameworks is a plus but not the primary focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute audits across Commercial P&C lines, including underwriting and claims.
• Evaluate processes to improve performance, controls, and risk mitigation.
• Provide actionable insights to improve workflows, decisions, governance.
• Manage audit engagements end-to-end: planning, fieldwork, reporting, stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with business leaders to advise on operational risk and process improvement.
• Stay informed on emerging risks and industry trends affecting insurance operations.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
