Job summary

Gursey | Schneider LLP in Los Angeles is seeking an Audit Manager to lead multiple audit and accounting engagements for diverse clients, including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. You will oversee planning, budgeting, staffing, technical review, and timely delivery of engagements, as the primary liaison between Partners, clients, and engagement teams.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• 6+ years in public accounting audit.
• At least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Experience attracting, hiring, and managing audit teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• Experience with both for-profit and not-for-profit clients preferred.
• Strong budgeting, deadlines, and client service management.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficient with firm technology, audits, research, analytics and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage multiple audit engagements end-to-end.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, staffing, and technical reviews.
• Serve as liaison between Partners, clients, and teams.
• Develop staff and maintain client relationships.
• Ensure engagements comply with standards and professional requirements.
• Identify and resolve complex audit matters and communicate findings.
• Manage cross-functional collaboration and engagement profitability.
• Keep updated on industry trends and GAAP developments.
