Job summary

Gursey | Schneider LLP in Los Angeles seeks an Audit Senior to lead day-to-day audit and accounting engagements for diverse clients, including not-for-profit organizations. You will supervise staff, review work papers, and communicate findings to engagement leadership, ensuring compliance with firm standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of public accounting experience, a degree in accounting, and is approaching CPA certification.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting experience (not-for-profit exposure a plus).
• Undergraduate or master's degree in accounting or related field.
• Should have completed, or is approaching completion, of CPA examination.
• Strong understanding of audit methodology, financial reporting, internal controls, and common audit and accounting issues.
• Ability to apply professional skepticism and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day execution of audit engagements under supervision of Managers, Directors, and Partners.
• Coordinates engagement planning, client understanding, risks, and internal controls.
• Supervises, trains, and reviews the work of associates, providing coaching and feedback.
• Performs and reviews audit procedures over significant accounts and disclosures.
• Prepares and reviews financial statements and related client deliverables for review.
