Job summary

Connectly Recruiting seeks a Senior Audit Manager for its Latham, NY office to lead audit engagements, review financial statements and workpapers, and ensure compliance with standards while guiding the local team.

The successful candidate will manage engagements, mentor staff, and help drive growth with autonomy and visibility, with a direct-hire opportunity and a salary range of $115,000–$165,000 annually based on experience. Capital Region residency or relocation is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• Progressive public-accounting audit experience.
• Current or previous Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager title preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS.
• Experience managing engagements and reviewing financial statements and workpapers.
• Demonstrated client-management and staff-development experience.
• Strong communication, judgment and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work regularly from the Latham office.
• Capital Region residency or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage audit and assurance engagements.
• Review financial statements, workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm quality requirements.
• Manage engagement schedules, staffing, budgets and client expectations.
• Serve as a primary contact for audit clients.
• Identify accounting, reporting and internal-control issues.
• Review staff work and provide technical guidance.
• Coach and develop employees.
• Coordinate engagements across multiple offices.
• Provide a consistent leadership presence in the Latham office.
• Support client growth and broader firm initiatives.
