Job summary

Software Placement Group, a locally owned CPA and business advisory firm in Phoenix, seeks a Senior Audit Manager to lead audits across Manufacturing/Retail/Distribution, Restaurants, Construction, Real Estate, and Estate/Gift clients. The role offers a base salary up to $140,000 and a hybrid work schedule.

You will manage client engagements and staff, plan and supervise audits, and develop new business while ensuring GAAP/GAAS compliance and high-quality financial statements. DOE consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• Active CPA license.
• Self-motivated with strong team orientation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns.
• High understanding of GAAP and special purpose frameworks.
• High understanding of GAAS.
• At least a limited understanding of GAGAS / Yellow Book.
• Experience with financial statement compilation, both with and without notes.
• Experience with financial statement audits and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Perform field work for audits, reviews, and compilations
• Prepare financial statements with full disclosures
• Plan, supervise, and complete routine engagements
• Supervise other accountants of varying levels of proficiency and experience
• Review work performed by other accountants
• Develop new client relationships and strengthen existing ones
• Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to clients
• Assist with firm administrative functions as needed
