Job summary

Optimize Search Group is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead multiple assurance engagements and serve as the primary client and internal liaison. This role blends technical accounting, project oversight, staff development, and business acumen.

The ideal candidate will manage several engagements, guide audit teams, review complex work, and build long-term client relationships while staying current on GAAP, GAAS, SAS, and other standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• 5–7 years of progressive public accounting experience with audit leadership responsibilities.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and professional standards.
• Experience supervising staff and developing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through delivery and ensure timely reporting.
• Manage timelines, budgets, staffing, and engagement profitability.
• Review financial statements, workpapers and governance letters for accuracy.
• Stay current on GAAP, GAAS, SAS and regulatory developments affecting audits.
• Supervise staff and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Support business development and maintain client relationships throughout the year.
