Job summary

Jobot seeks a Senior Audit Manager for a well-established CPA firm in the Baltimore/Towson area. This hands-on leadership role involves actively managing and performing audit engagements, working directly with clients and maintaining high-quality engagement deliverables.

The position offers growth toward senior leadership, equity opportunities, and a collaborative culture. Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $180,000 annually, with strong benefits including substantial employer-paid healthcare

Qualifications

• CPA preferred.
• Strong public accounting background with significant review experience.
• Proven ability to manage engagements while remaining hands-on.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.
• Construction industry experience is a plus.
• Compilation and tax experience is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in growing into senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform review engagements from planning through completion.
• Work directly with clients and build strong, long-term relationships.
• Remain hands-on with engagement execution and technical accounting work.
• Coordinate and oversee staff while maintaining direct involvement in the engagements.
• Apply professional judgment to accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Help build and expand the firm’s growing review practice.
• Primarily serve closely held businesses, including construction-industry clients.
• Collaborate with Partners and other professionals on accounting, tax, and advisory needs.
• Assist with compilation engagements and review of tax return workpapers as needed.
