Job summary

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF THE LOTTERY – OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL seeks an OIG Analyst III to conduct audits, investigations, and consulting services. Develop audit programs, work papers, and reports, and assist in risk assessment and annual planning.

Travel may be required as part of engagements and coordination with external auditors. You will work independently on assignments and model integrity, quality, and confidentiality in accordance with OIG and state standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of internal audit techniques and internal audit standards
• Knowledge of IT audit tools and techniques
• Knowledge of statutes, rules, regulations, practices and procedures
• Knowledge of accounting, auditing, and data collection/analysis
• Ability to organize data into logical format for reports and documents
• Ability to operate a PC and analytical tools
• Ability to work independently or in a leadership role and adapt to conditions
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management
• Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop recommendations
• Ability to exercise independent judgment
• Ability to travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits, management reviews, and consulting services per standards
• Review complaints and conduct investigations per policies
• Develop audit programs and work plans with tests and scope
• Prepare work papers and reports with conclusions and recommendations
• Coordinate engagements with external auditors
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and follow-up
