Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Audit Director for Government & Nonprofits in Oregon with hybrid work options. The role focuses on leading audits of state and local governments with a Top 100 CPA firm culture that emphasizes balance and growth.

Travel to client sites is required and engagement leadership is central to the role. The ideal candidate has ~10 years in public accounting, CPA license, and proven ability to generate new business while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in public accounting with senior manager experience.
• Experience auditing state and local governments (cities, counties, districts, schools).
• Strong knowledge of GAGAS/Yellow Book and GAAS.
• Ability to travel to client and office locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client relationships and understand client operations and controls.
• Sign attest opinions when acting as engagement partner.
• Oversee all engagement phases and ensure compliance with GAAP and firm policy.
• Identify and communicate developments or issues to engagement partner.
• Lead staff training and performance reviews; support staff development.
• Lead business development and initial client meetings.
