Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Audit Director for Government & Nonprofits in Los Angeles with a hybrid work model. Salary ranges from $220,000 to $270,000 annually. The ideal candidate has about 10 years in public accounting and a CPA license, with strong government sector auditing experience in GAAS/Yellow Book.

You will lead client engagements, supervise staff, and contribute to business development and an accelerated partner track. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of experience in public accounting and a minimum of 2 years in a senior manager position with government sector audit exposure.
• Holds a current and valid CPA license and ability to travel to client and office locations.
• Experience auditing state and local governments and not-for-profit organizations under GAAS and Yellow Book guidance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains client relationships throughout the year and ensures quality deliverables in line with government auditing standards.
• Leads engagements as partner or reports to the engagement partner; signs attest opinions when assigned.
• Oversees all phases of engagements, ensuring compliance with accounting framework and firm policy.
• Identifies issues, communicates updates to the engagement Partner, and implements solutions with partner input.
• Directs scheduling of engagements and provides staff training and evaluations.
