Emerson Personnel Group Inc. in Maple Shade, NJ is seeking an Accounting & Assurance Senior to lead audit engagements, supervise associates, and deliver insights to clients across various industries. CPA (or on track) and 3+ years public accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• CPA license or working towards CPA exam with sections passed
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of public accounting experience, with a focus on audit.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAGAS and GAAS, particularly nonprofit and Yellow Book.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Lead compilation, review, and preparation engagements through completion.
• Supervise and mentor associates, providing guidance and review of work.
• Perform risk assessments and develop audit programs tailored to client needs.
• Analyze and interpret financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Research complex accounting issues and provide well-supported conclusions.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS, and firm processes and policies.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
• Collaborate with the resource manager to ensure scheduling of engagements is done and on track.
• Prepare budgets for assurance engagements.
