Job summary

Beasley, Mitchell & Co., LLP seeks an experienced engagement leader for financial statement and compliance audits across for-profit, not-for-profit, and governmental sectors. You will plan audits, draft programs and footnotes, and supervise staff through delivery on engagements.

The role requires GAAP/GAS standards proficiency, ability to mentor junior staff, and strong communication skills to advise clients on accounting matters and internal controls. Travel is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented & ability to multi-task.
• Strong accounting, analytical and organizational skills.
• Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Proven knowledge of GAAP and GAAS and ability to perform research when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial statement and compliance engagements under GAAP, GAGAS, GAAS or other standards.
• Examine and report on internal controls when required by engagement.
• Analyze client financial control issues and gaps; perform related diagnosis.
• Assist with accounting and financial reporting operations.
• Research and analyze accounting practices and draft audit conclusions.
• Prepare and review work papers to document performed work and conclusions.
