Job summary

Capstone Group, a fast-growing CPA firm with offices across the western U.S., seeks an experienced assurance professional in Bend, Oregon. You will serve as in-charge on compilation, review and audit engagements, guiding fieldwork from planning through completion under supervision of Audit Managers and engagement partners.

You will lead client communications, supervise staff, perform complex audit procedures, and prepare financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 4+ years of public accounting experience in audit and assurance.
• CPA license or active progress toward CPA licensure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and SSARS.
• Demonstrated ability to lead fieldwork and direct staff on engagements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as in-charge on compilation, review, and audit engagements, coordinating fieldwork and day-to-day client contact.
• Assist in engagement planning, risk assessment, materiality, and tailoring audit programs.
• Perform audit procedures on complex/high-risk areas, evaluating internal controls and performing substantive testing.
• Perform first-level review of workpapers and provide timely feedback.
• Prepare financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
