Job summary

JLK Rosenberger LLP CPAs in Glendale, CA, seeks a dedicated Senior Audit Associate to oversee audit engagements in the insurance, nonprofit, and employee benefit plan sectors. You’ll supervise staff, plan and report for clients, and collaborate with client leadership to deliver high‑quality audits with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in audits, a Bachelor's in accounting/finance/economics, and CPA licensure progress.

Qualifications

Two years of experience as an associate or equivalent, per partners' assessment.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
CPA license or progress toward licensure.

Responsibilities

Supervise less experienced staff auditors and audits for clients in insurance, nonprofit, and employee benefit plan industries.
Perform, plan, and/or report for clients; support researching complex accounting topics as needed.
Lead audit team meetings at client sites and interact with controllers, CFOs, and CEOs as a trusted advisor.
Get to know clients and their business to provide the right service and value.
Assist the team from strategy to execution and ensure firm policies are followed.
Develop quality client relationships and strengthen soft skills for performance evaluation.
