The University of Akron seeks an experienced audiologist to lead and manage the university's audiology clinic, including scheduling, budgeting, and student supervision. The role involves coordinating equipment, staff, and administrative processes to deliver high-quality audiologic services.

The candidate should have a Doctor of Audiology, Ohio licensure, and prior experience in hearing aid dispensing. Teaching responsibilities and committee participation are integral parts of the position.

Qualifications

• Requires a Doctor of Audiology degree.
• Ohio state licensure to practice audiology; board certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years audiology and hearing aid dispensing experience.
• College-level teaching experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills are essential.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day management of the audiology clinic, including scheduling patient flow and resource allocation.
• Manage budget, purchasing, vendor coordination, and billing workflows for audiologic services.
• Provide clinical education and supervise 4-6 students per semester, participate in faculty meetings and committees.
• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate audiology courses, up to 4 credits per semester.
