Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in commissioning and/or designing AV systems for Enterprise customers.
- Advanced technical knowledge of AV equipment and systems, including cameras, matrix switchers, DSPs, and control system platforms (e.g., Crestron, Extron, QSC).
- Extensive experience building and supporting Cisco Macros for room integration and customizations.
- Ability to interpret advanced single-line diagrams, architectural, construction, and electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of project financial reports and cost control in design and management.
- Understanding of networking and AVoIP protocols (e.g., AVB, Dante).
- Experience configuring and supporting MTR, Zoom Rooms, and Cisco Webex endpoints for video conferencing solutions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar diagrammatic software tools.
- Experience with DVLED video walls such as Planar and Unilumen.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively; experience leading field project installations is advantageous.
- Providing technical expertise in architecture, installation, and planning of audio, video, and control solutions.
- Researching and evaluating hardware and software options.
- Experience with Digital Signage platforms and hardware is a plus.
- Experience with streaming platforms like Vbrick and Hive is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in a pre-sales Engineering role.
- Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent technical experience is desirable.
- AV project management experience.
- Technical certifications related to the industry.
- Experience with collaboration technologies such as Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.
Additional Requirements:
- Preferred qualifications include AV design experience and certifications such as CTS & CTS-D – AVIXA, Dante Level 1 Certification, and proficiency with MTR, Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, Cisco, Sennheiser hardware/software.
- Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Up to 25% domestic travel; valid passport for international travel.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Willingness to pursue additional training.
- Willing to undergo background checks and drug tests as required.

What will you be doing?
We are seeking a Design Engineer with extensive AV design experience and industry knowledge in the large enterprise segment. This role involves AV integration, endpoints, infrastructure hardware/software, AVoIP, and meeting platforms like MS Teams, Webex, Zoom, and Google. It is a pre-sales position requiring the ability to listen to customer requirements and architect end-user and administrative solutions. Candidates should be comfortable engaging with senior IT and facilities clients.
Responsibilities:
- Support sales with detailed AV engineering expertise.
- Develop customer designs based on requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, interior designers, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create Bills of Materials and Statements of Work.
- Design system diagrams, specifications, and operational narratives.
- Estimate project costs accurately.
- Respond technically to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Work effectively with engineering support teams.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage multiple design projects efficiently.
- Adhere to company standards and interpret technical specifications and diagrams.
- Research new integrations for WWT Demo facilities.
- Stay updated on AV advancements and emerging technologies.
