Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Audio Systems Engineer III in Redmond, WA or Sunnyvale, CA.

You will prototype and evaluate microphone arrays for Reality Labs wearable devices, validate with electroacoustic measurements, and collaborate across hardware and algorithm teams to ensure robust capture performance across product use cases. The role involves designing proof-of-concept arrays, planning measurements, running simulations, and developing tooling in Python/MATLAB.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of industry experience in acoustics and audio signal processing.
• Hands-on mic-array prototyping and measurement experience.
• Experience with electroacoustic measurement systems and lab practice (Audio Precision, Bruel & Kjær, anechoic chambers, HATS).
• Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate proof-of-concept mic-array prototypes for target device form factors.
• Plan and execute electroacoustic measurements in anechoic and HATS setups.
• Run acoustic simulations of device-on-head scenarios to guide design choices.
• Compare simulated and measured results and evaluate prototype arrays against performance metrics.
• Develop Python/MATLAB tooling for data acquisition, analysis, and visualization.
• Document results and present findings to cross-functional teams.
