Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking an Audio Project Designer to plan and coordinate audio requirements for produced events. You will serve as the local expert on gear and emerging tech and educate staff across teams on equipment issues, interfacing with branches and warehouse personnel.

This role supports our Audio Visual & Event Technology team and requires in-person, full-time work in office or show-site across listed locations.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in live sound reinforcement with 5+ years on corporate events.
• Ability to communicate install and troubleshoot equipment.
• Advanced understanding of analog/digital audio, acoustics, RF.
• Experience drawing system designs in AutoCad/VectorWorks.

Responsibilities

• Develop sound system designs with clients, sales, operations and PMs within budget.
• Create wiring diagrams and audio plots for shows and brief on-site personnel.
• Schedule and allocate audio personnel to optimize resources and follow policies.
• Evaluate Audio Specialists to maintain Freeman's quality standards.
• Oversee equipment logistics and inter-branch coordination for efficiency.
• Research audio equipment purchases to stay current with industry standards.
