Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking an Audio Project Designer to lead planning and coordination of audio requirements for produced events across our in-house teams and client sites. This role focuses on delivering high-quality sound experiences while aligning with budget and schedule constraints.

This senior position serves as the local expert on current gear and emerging technology, educating technical staff, sales teams, show-site personnel, and branch management to uphold Freeman’s standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in live sound reinforcement for corporate events, with strong technical knowledge.
• Ability to engineer instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Proficiency with audio networking and RF coordination essential.
• Experience designing large-scale sound systems with professional gear.

Responsibilities

• Develop sound system designs and coordinate pre-production, onsite and post-production activities respecting budgets.
• Create wiring diagrams and audio plots for shows and brief on-site staff.
• Recommend audio personnel during scheduling to optimize resources and policy adherence.
• Oversee equipment logistics and cross-branch gear usage to maximize efficiency.
• On-site work as Audio Engineer, A2, or RF Coordinator on events as assigned.
