Job summary

Retro Studios in Austin, Texas seeks a Senior Producer/Project Manager to lead cross‑discipline teams through AAA game development. You will coordinate audio, localization, engineering, art and design to hit milestones on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes sprint planning, risk mitigation and strong communication with leads, stakeholders and publishers. Candidates bring 7+ years in production of multi‑team game projects and a track record of delivering polished titles.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in game development as a Producer or PM of cross‑discipline teams.
• Prior experience in an audio role in game development.
• Experience coordinating with engineering, art and design teams.
• Deep familiarity with pre‑production and production phases of AAA game development.
• Fluent with Jira, Confluence and other Atlassian products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, time management and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support the audio team and localization efforts to define, track and prioritize work.
• Support tracking of localization‑ready content, text/VO dependencies, approvals, and delivery status.
• Help define and track audio development budgets, including forecasting internal costs and vendor budgets.
• Facilitate meetings, take notes, resolve blockers and capture action items.
• Work across leads, feature owners and stakeholders to track work and priorities.
• Coordinate and run sprint and milestone planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Track velocity and capacity data to improve accuracy for future sprints.
• Communicate status (on track or at risk) and inform long‑term milestones.
• Share risk mitigation strategies with Department Directors and VP of Development.
• Collaborate with other producers and departments to refine content pipelines and processes.
• Coordinate with QA for builds and build notes.
• Liaise with publisher/legal and studio finance on vendor contracts.
