Job summary

The Wyoming Attorney General's Office seeks an attorney to represent the State of Wyoming in litigation within the Water and Natural Resources Division. The cases are decided under the Governor's direction and involve energy, natural resources, environmental, and water issues across federal courts.

The position also offers mentorship, a collegial work environment, and opportunities to advise the Governor and Policy Office on legal matters while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience with environmental law and civil litigation encouraged.
• Knowledge of federal and state natural resource, environmental, and energy laws.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complicated legal and factual issues and present them clearly in written and oral form, advocating Wyoming's interests in federal and state venues.
• Contribute to balancing energy, natural resources, and environmental policy with litigation and counseling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
