The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) seeks a Sr Attorney to join its Small Business Legal Center (SBLC) in Washington, DC. You will support legal representation and educational outreach for small businesses nationwide.

The role oversees amicus briefs, regulatory comments, policy positions, and external relationships, while managing litigation and outside counsel. Excellent communication and a JD with bar admission are required.

Formación

• Juris Doctorate degree required.
• Bar admission in the jurisdiction where working is required.
• Excellent legal skills with experience in administrative and litigation processes.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with multiple organizations to achieve objectives.
• Public speaking experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively on legal matters with non-lawyers.
• Understanding of the needs of small and independent businesses.

Responsabilidades

• Draft and coordinate amicus briefs and regulatory comment letters.
• Develop legal policy positions and educate small-business owners on legal matters.
• Oversee litigation and manage outside counsel.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and performance standards.
