Job summary
Wizards of the Coast, a Hasbro subsidiary, is seeking a Senior Attorney to support first-party video game studios and serve as the primary deal lawyer for outbound licensing of iconic IP into digital games worldwide. The role manages a small team and reports to the VP of Legal for Wizards of the Coast.
Based in Renton, Washington, it requires in-office work three days per week. You will structure and negotiate outbound licensing, advise studio leadership on product development and monetization,
Qualifications
- J.D. or equivalent from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state or equivalent.
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience including licensing projects and IP transactions.
- In-house experience at a game developer, publisher, or platform preferred.
- Experience supervising attorneys, paralegals, or other legal professionals.
Responsibilities
- Structure and negotiate outbound licensing agreements for digital games.
- Advise studio leadership on product development, talent agreements, monetization, and policy.
- Collaborate with brand teams, counsel, marketing, privacy, finance, and business development.
