OTSI is looking for an experienced attorney, with strong independent legal judgment and expertise in information technology related law, to provide legal counsel and support for difficult, complex, and sensitive Data Privacy and Information Technology (IT) related matters.
The Senior Attorney, Data Privacy and Technology, (Attorney IV) serves as a legal expert, supporting the more complex, difficult and sensitive legal issues as they relate to data privacy, protection of health information, open government, public contracting law, state and federal government IT procurement law, and other emerging IT and data areas that have a significant impact on OTSI operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to drafting and reviewing the more challenging and complex IT related agreements/contracts, preparing legal opinions, participating in high profile contract negotiations, and advising/providing consolation for OTSI executives, managers, and project teams.
The position also works collaboratively with internal and external partners such as other OTSI attorneys, staff, leadership, and other state entities to resolve the more complex, difficult and sensitive legal issues. This position represents OTSI before state and federal oversight entities, supports development of policies and legislation, assists with information security reviews, and responds to Public Records Act requests.
