Responsibilities

• Serves as a senior attorney handling the more complex and difficult matters; reviews legal documents and case law for legal sufficiency.
• Provides statements of reasons and draft language to obviate objections; analyzes proposed orders, legislation, policy, regulations for legal sufficiency.
• Assists in review and negotiation of legal agreements; coordinates with contracting staff and stakeholders; counsels on negotiations.
• Reviews hearing records, briefs, rulings; analyzes and provides recommendations to supervisor.
• Prepares memoranda on legal questions and drafts tentative documents of final decision.
• Acts as attorney advisor in suspension and debarment matters; conducts due diligence and research; manages legal records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
