Job summary

First American Title Company is seeking a Senior Security Engineer – Attack Surface Platforms to own and operate our external attack surface management capabilities across internet-facing assets. You will lead platform operations, asset discovery, exposure analysis, and remediation workflows while collaborating with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to reduce risk and improve platform health.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating an external attack surface management platform.
• Strong understanding of internet-facing assets, DNS, and cloud-hosted resources.
• Experience validating vulnerability findings and prioritizing remediation with business context.
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform; multi-cloud experience is useful.
• Experience integrating security platforms with asset inventory, ticketing, or security operations systems.
• Ability to use APIs or scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash) to investigate findings and support improvements.
• Ability to establish clear ownership and remediation paths and communicate risk to stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the EASM platform, including configuration, access, and health.
• Maintain inventory of internet-facing assets and identify gaps or new exposures.
• Correlate findings with business context to confirm ownership and asset validity.
• Lead remediation coordination across cloud, network, and apps teams.
• Develop runbooks and automation to improve asset review and reporting.
• Produce management reports on coverage, exposure trends, and remediation status.
