Job summary

Horizon3 is hiring a Staff Attack Engineer for the Rapid Response team. You will research and productize real-world exploitation techniques to help customers determine if vulnerabilities affect their environments and what an attacker could do next.

You will focus on high-consequence vulnerabilities, from KEVs to Zero-Days, and translate attacker tradecraft into automated modules for Rapid Response and NodeZero. This is a remote role with travel up to 10% to support customer success.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and software engineering skills with production-quality tooling.
• Solid penetration testing, vulnerability research, and exploit-development fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networks, applications, identity systems, cloud environments, or endpoint security.
• Demonstrated ability to reproduce vulnerabilities and automate techniques.

Responsibilities

• Research and reproduce high-consequence vulnerabilities across networks, apps, identities, cloud and infrastructure.
• Study attacker tactics, techniques, procedures, and campaigns observed in the wild.
• Turn vulnerability research into safe, repeatable attack modules for Rapid Response and NodeZero.
• Demonstrate realistic impact including privilege escalation and data access, with minimal disruption.
• Validate remediation by safely retesting vulnerabilities and controls.
• Improve speed, reliability, and evidence quality while collaborating with teams.
