Job summary

Antelope Valley College is seeking a qualified Athletic Trainer to implement preventive measures, assess injuries, and provide standard emergency care to student athletes across sports. The role involves developing and supervising treatment programs and coordinating rehabilitation under physician guidance.

The incumbent will oversee training-room operations, maintain confidential records, and ensure proper equipment fitting and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in physical education, athletic training, or related field (e.g., kinesiology, exercise physiology).
• Two years athletic training experience.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Certificated Athletic Trainer, administers rehabilitative treatment as prescribed by a physician.
• Develops treatment programs with long- and short-term goals; educates athletes about injuries and the treatment plan.
• Supervises the training room facilities and coordinates on-campus clinics with team physicians.
• Maintains confidential student records including injury reports and rehabilitation logs.
• Arranges physician and ambulance coverage for home games and ensures safety equipment is properly fitted.
