Job summary

Bergen Community College seeks an Athletic Trainer to oversee the athletic health care for intercollegiate teams. The role plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive program for prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency care of student-athletes.

Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining the program, supervising equipment, providing first aid, covering home events, coordinating physicals, and communicating with team physicians.

Qualifications

• CAATE education requirements completed as part of undergrad studies.
• Maintain NJ licensure and CPR/EC certification as required.
• Strong communication and collaboration across college stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains an effective athletic training program for collegiate athletics.
• Provide first aid, injury assessment, treatment, rehab, and physician referrals.
• Oversee home games, practices, equipment, and daily athletic department ops.
• Coordinate annual athletic physicals and athlete clearances during seasons.
• Maintain treatment logs, reports, and inventory; budget for supplies.
