Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Lawrence, KS is seeking an Athletic Trainer II to support student-athletes in Volleyball and Softball. Under the direction of Team Physicians and the Senior Director of Kansas Team Health, you will provide athletic training services, clinical evaluation, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and on-site medical care for home and away events.

You will coordinate with coaches, strength and conditioning staff, dietitians, psychologists, and sports medicine

Qualifications

• Master's degree in athletic training or related field required within 90 days of hire.
• 2+ years of experience as an athletic trainer.
• Licensed Athletic Trainer (AT) required within 90 days of hire.
• BOC Athletic Trainer certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services and supervision under the direction of Team Physicians.
• Coordinate injury prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, and return-to-play decisions.
• Maintain complete medical records and patient education.
• Collaborate with coaches, sport performance, dietitian, psychologist, and counseling services.
• Manage emergency medical plans and on-site care during events.
