The University of Kansas Health System seeks a Clinical Athletic Trainer for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Kansas City. The role is days, full-time, at Arrowhead Stadium and associated clinics including Indian Creek Medical Office Building and others.

The trainer will support patient care from arrival to departure, assist physicians and staff, and ensure a smooth clinic flow with wound care, education, and device fitting as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• High School Graduate required.
• Preferred 1+ year medical experience.

Responsabilités

• Suture or staple removal for a postoperative patient.
• Wound care and wound dressing.
• Drawing up injectables per doctor protocol.
• Maintaining clinic flow between all areas of the clinic.
• Aiding physician in procedures as needed.
• Patient brace/crutch fitting and product education.
• Patient setup and education of electrical modality units.
• Provide home exercise protocols for patients per the doctor’s request.
• Responsible for following new patient care from check in to check out.
• Liaison between patient, medical assistant, physician or physician office staff.
