Job summary

The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT seeks an experienced Head Equipment Manager to oversee the athletic equipment room for a large multi-sport program. You will manage inventory, issue uniforms, coordinate repairs, and ensure safe, efficient operations for practices and games.

This twelve-month, full-time role requires flexible hours including Saturdays, evenings, preseason and postseason coverage. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in athletic equipment operations and inventory management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with safety and OSHA considerations in equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation of the athletic equipment room including issue/return, distribution, laundry flow, storage, repair, inventory, and recordkeeping.
• Supervise the part-time Assistant Equipment Manager and ensure policy adherence.
• Develop seasonal operating plans for fall, winter, and spring athletics.
