Key Responsibilities

• Lead assurance engagements, including planning, fieldwork, workpaper review, and completion.
• Manage and oversee staff members assigned to jobs under the senior’s direction.
• Handle tax work for assurance clients when capacity and client needs require it.
• Coordinate with tax senior staff when tax work should be delegated based on availability and fit.
• Build client relationships and provide practical accounting guidance.
• Identify accounting issues and help clients resolve underlying bookkeeping or financial statement problems.
• Support clients across industries, with construction-industry experience considered a plus.

Ideal Background

• Public accounting assurance experience with the ability to lead engagements.
• Experience supervising or reviewing staff work preferred.
• Exposure to tax preparation or willingness to handle some tax work for assurance clients.
• Smaller-firm or hands-on client accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong practical accounting foundation; ability to help clients fix issues, not just identify them.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred, depending on experience.
