Job summary

EY's Assurance practice in Chicago seeks an Assurance Advisor (Financial Services Office) Manager to lead audit engagements for private and public clients, focusing on revenue recognition, internal controls, and complex accounting issues. You will manage engagement teams, ensure on-time delivery, and build lasting client relationships while navigating US GAAP and SEC requirements.

This role offers a hybrid work model with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field and 5 years of post-bachelor’s experience; or Master's degree with 4 years of related experience.
• 2 years of experience in engagement management, execution and reporting, and client relationship building in Asset management, Insurance, Banking, or Real Estate/Hospitality/Construction sectors.
• 2 years supervising planning, execution and reporting on audits; supervising teams; recent PCAOB-audited public company experience.
• 1 year of experience using audit documentation software.
• Active US CPA certificate or foreign certificate with pathway to US CPA.

Responsibilities

• Provide audit services under US GAAS and PCAOB rules for private and public company statements.
• Plan and perform audit procedures in accordance with US GAAP.
• Apply knowledge of SEC rules and regulations over financial reporting and identify accounting issues.
• Manage and motivate audit teams with diverse skills.
• Maintain long-term client relationships and help cultivate business development opportunities.
