Senior Consultant - Credit, Lending & Renewable Energy Finance Recruiter (646-741-2166)

Position Overview:

JCW has partnered with a growing private credit fund in their search for a Senior Associate or VP level Credit Underwriter. This firm is relatively new to the market as they’re a direct lender for middle market companies. The candidate will be operating as an individual contributor and is responsible for underwriting/evaluating investments, managing the company portfolio, and deal closing. Key Responsibilities:

• Underwriting & Deal Execution: Lead underwriting efforts for new platform investments, add-on facilities, and loan modifications. Develop compelling written proposals and present them to the firm’s executive team.
• Conduct comprehensive quantitative assessments of potential transactions, including financial modeling, due diligence, and sector-specific analysis.
• Oversee the performance of portfolio companies, ensuring ongoing awareness of their financial health and handling specific requests from the portfolio monitoring team, such as covenant compliance, delayed debt service payments, or waiver requests.
• Preparing presentations for the Investment Committee, including deal screeners and committee memos based on established templates.

Qualifications:

• BA in finance or economics preferred with 4+ years of experience in private credit underwriting.
• Experience working for a debt fund, investment banking, or transaction advisory.
