Job summary

Exponent is seeking a Senior Associate for its Thermal Sciences practice in Natick, MA. You will perform failure analysis and provide design support for fluid flow, heat transfer, mass transport, combustion and electrochemistry.

The role includes planning and running experimental test programs, preparing proposals and technical reports, presenting findings to clients, and starting the process of developing new clients. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace/Fire Protection Engineering or PE license.
• US work authorization; no immigration sponsorship required.
• Strong thermal sciences background and battery systems knowledge.
• 3+ years industry experience; consulting experience a plus.
• Experience designing and analyzing thermal systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and perform laboratory tests.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses.
• Prepare proposals and reports for clients.
• Travel for project work within and outside the U.S.
