Job summary

Barings is seeking a Senior Associate/Associate Director to support the SEC reporting for Barings BDC Complex. You will lead filings, liaise with auditors, and ensure accurate GAAP reporting for multiple BDCs. The role resides at Barings' HQ and reports to the CAO & CFO.

The ideal candidate has 3–8 years in SEC reporting, a CPA preferred, and strong Excel/Workiva skills, with experience in asset management or closed-end funds.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in SEC or financial reporting.
• CPA preferred with public accounting background.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules.

Responsibilities

• Lead month- and quarter-end close and prepare SEC filings.
• Support Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K and proxy statements.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure SOX controls.
• Prepare schedules for earnings, board materials and investor presentations.
• Maintain reporting calendars and documentation.
