An established industry player is looking for a Senior Associate Scientist to join their innovative Membrane Technologies group. This role involves applying molecular, cellular, and biochemical techniques to support preclinical therapeutic antibody discovery. You will engage in exciting projects that require maintaining cell cultures, performing protein expression, and conducting various biochemical analyses. If you have a passion for science and a desire to work in a dynamic team environment to develop lifesaving medicines, this opportunity is perfect for you. Join a forward-thinking company that values continual improvement and innovation in therapeutic discovery.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist to join the Membrane Technologies group, which supports preclinical therapeutic antibody discovery within the department of Therapeutic Proteins. You will apply molecular, cellular and biochemical approaches to express and purify a broad range of cell surface receptors (i.e. GPCRs, ion channels, transporters, and signaling receptors) and protein complexes. We hope you are excited by the opportunity to work with numerous functional groups to come up with innovative approaches to tackle some of the most challenging therapeutic discovery projects being pursued at Regeneron.
In this role, a typical day might include the following:
Maintaining cell cultures (insect and HEK293 cells)
Assisting with small and large-scale protein expression using bacteria, insect cells, and HEK293 cells
Performing routine molecular biology techniques such as plasmid and bacmid purification and baculovirus production
Performing protein biochemical analysis using the HPLC and FPLC
Conducting protein purification (affinity, ion exchange, and size exclusion) and biochemical (FSEC, SDS-PAGE, western blot, FACS, in vitro functional assays) and biophysical (SEC-MALS, BLI) analysis
Participating in journal clubs and data presentation
This job might be for you if:
You have a passion for science and innovation with a strong dedication to continual improvement
You enjoy working in a fast-paced and deadline driven team environment to discover lifesaving medicines for people with serious medical conditions
You have the desire and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
