Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking a Senior Associate for Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting in CFO Services. The role focuses on providing outsourced CFO support, managing financial operations, reporting, and collaboration with auditors and service providers.

You will deliver analytical insights, create models, and drive process improvements for investment clients. Candidate must have CPA (preferred) and 4+ years in alternative investment management, with strong accounting and communication skills to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA designation preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in the alternative investment management industry; public accounting is a plus.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills with problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with QuickBooks, OpenAir, Bill.com and Expensify is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with auditors, administrators, HR/payroll, and other service providers while delivering outsourced CFO services to Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds.
• Collaborate with team members and clients, providing daily operational support and ad-hoc projects including financial modeling and analysis.
• Review NAVs, allocations, investor statements, reconciliations, expense schedules, management fee calculations, and incentive allocations to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare fund and management company financial statements, maintain accounting practices, research accounting principles, and advise clients on improvements.
• Coordinate client onboarding tasks such as opening brokerage and bank accounts, while arranging and participating in regular conference calls to support engagement.

Provide outsourced CFO support to hedge funds and private equity clients, managing financial operations, reporting, and collaboration with auditors, administrators, and service providers. • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with CPA designation preferred.
• You bring 4+ years of experience in the alternative investment management industry, with public accounting experience considered a plus.
• You demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi‑task.
