The ideal candidate will deliver excellent research, drafting and negotiation skills, and will contribute to client relationships, budgets, and timelines while mentoring junior lawyers and supporting firm growth.

Qualifications

• Attorney with admission to the New York Bar.
• Experience handling complex matters at a reputable law firm or practice.
• Demonstrated ability to work with high level of independence.
• Excellent research, drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to understand client needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident when working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of complex legal matters from inception through to resolution.
• Provide high-quality legal advice aligned with clients' commercial objectives.
• Draft, review and negotiate a range of legal documents and pleadings.
• Conduct detailed legal research and apply findings to client matters.
• Collaborate with Partners and other team members on high-value matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Own matter timelines, budgets and client expectations.
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development.
• Support business development and growth opportunities with clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and developments.
