The AmLaw firm in New York seeks a Senior Manager, Attorney Development to champion associates and partner with leadership on talent management, evaluations, and strategic planning. Based in the firm's New York office on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience in talent management, attorney development or practice management required.
• J.D. with previous work experience as a practicing attorney or associate strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise leadership on talent strategy across the group.
• Translate financial reporting, analytics, and benchmarking into recommendations that strengthen attorney performance.
• Own the group's mentoring framework across all seniority levels.
• Drive the design, rollout, and enforcement of firm policies and talent initiatives alongside practice and talent leadership.
• Lead the annual review cycle for income partners, associates, and counsel, and surface emerging performance trends for leadership.
• Serve as a senior resource for associates and counsel on career growth and firm life, guiding incoming lateral attorneys.
• Direct the planning and execution of group meetings and events.
• Own exit interviews with departing attorneys and turn the resulting attrition data into insight for leadership.
• Partner across finance, recruiting, professional development, career development, inclusion, and business development to advance these priorities.
