About The Team

On the Merchant Strategy & Operations team, our mission is to have best-in-class restaurant selection for Consumers and build a platform that enables the merchant to grow sustainably on Doordash. We work on solving merchant pain points by improving their tooling, solving the foundations like login and store setup, and collaborating cross-functionally for successful go-to-market launches.

About The Role

As a Senior Associate on DoorDash’s Merchant Strategy & Operations (S&O) team, you will own the strategy and success of our Merchant applications (web and mobile), including the foundations of user access and permissions. You will grow adoption and engagement by launching new features, building the product roadmap, uncovering insights in the data and merchant feedback, and testing new ideas for product-market fit. You will solve problems by digging into details, executing quickly in the face of ambiguity, and building strong cross-functional collaboration.

On the Merchant team, you’ll get to the lowest level of detail by partnering with our Engineering, Product, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Analytics teams. You will also analyze our data to develop hypotheses for new ways to achieve your goals. You’ll test these hypotheses in the market and refine your approach to develop best-in-world solutions. And, you’ll also make sure to capture the Merchant voice in everything we do.

You will report to our Senior Manager of Merchant Strategy & Operations in this role.

You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…

  • Be an owner – Drive the strategy & execution of critical merchant surfaces, building a roadmap to improve merchant satisfaction with our tools and articulating goals that demonstrate merchant impact.
  • Experiment, Analyze and Implement – Use data-driven decision-making and sound business judgment to run tests for product-market-fit or develop insights to inform future strategic initiatives.
  • Influence – Work cross-functionally with our product, marketing, sales, support, finance, and analytics teams to land key initiatives.

We're Excited About You Because…

  • You have 3-4 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, or related experience; high-growth or early-stage startup experience are a plus.
  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • You're analytical and dig deep to understand a problem, using both quantitative and qualitative data. You're comfortable modeling in Excel; SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • You’re a self-starter – You have a bias towards action and are proactive in identifying opportunities to innovate and improve
  • You are a problem solver – You can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans and consistently operate with focus and drive.
  • You communicate early and often and can distill complex topics into a summary for stakeholders at all levels -- both written and verbal.

We expect this position to be filled by 7/20/2025.
