Job summary
Marx Okubo Associates, Inc. seeks a Senior Associate MEP Engineer to lead the design and evaluation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial buildings.
The role is hybrid with 2 days in-office and travel to project sites; you will partner with owners, investors, and lenders to deliver sustainable, code-compliant solutions.
Candidates should have 15+ years of experience, a PE, and strong leadership; LEED/CEM is a plus.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 15+ years in building systems design.
- PE licensure and proven leadership in project management.
- Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Knowledge of national and TX codes; sustainability consulting.
- LEED or CEM certification is a plus.
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities; travel required.
Responsibilities
- Lead MEP engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Perform energy audits, system commissioning, and design reviews.
- Coordinate with owners, lenders, and construction teams.
- Travel locally and regionally as project needs.
