Job summary

Candor Advisors is seeking a Senior Associate to join the deal team on live sell-side engagements. This second-chair role works closely with the Managing Partner and oversees the offshore research/modeling team, ensuring quality across multiple engagements.

Based in Southern California or willing to relocate, you will coordinate across buyers, founders, and internal teams, progressing toward a VP position as the firm grows.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting foundation and financial modeling capability.
• Familiarity with lower middle market M&A deal structures.
• Clear, direct written and verbal communication; precise materials.

Responsibilities

• Deal analysis: build/own financial models, EBITDA normalization, QC of earnings.
• Draft and review CIMs, management presentations, teaser lists, and letters.
• Coordinate offshore research/modeling team: scope, feedback, time-zone handoffs.
• Collaborate with associate to manage multiple engagements concurrently.
• Balance 3–5 active client engagements; track engagement status.
• Lead diligence and data room management from LOI to close.
• Interact with founders and buyers; gradually lead client conversations.
• Improve firm operations: templates, CIM standards, pipelines and reviews.
• Drive exit-readiness assessments for founders 1–3 years from close.
