Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Associate, Global Expansion Strategy & Operations, to drive market-entry strategy and launches across the Americas from its San Francisco base. You will work with senior leaders to determine where and how to enter new financial markets and to shape product and regulatory requirements to enable rapid, scalable expansion.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting (MBB or equivalent), or in a strategy, operations, expansion, product strategy, or regulatory role within fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Build market-entry strategies for new markets, including regulatory feasibility and competitive dynamics.
Design market-entry models: licensing, entity structures, partnerships, and operating models.
Translate strategy into product requirements with Product and Engineering alignment.
Drive cross-functional launch readiness and resolve blockers across product, regulatory, operational, risk, and commercial areas.
Enable executive decision-making with clear recommendations for market prioritization and investments.
Develop reusable frameworks, dashboards, and AI-enabled tools to streamline expansion workflows.
