Job summary

Airwallex is seeking an Engineering Lead for Growth to build an AI-native growth platform and scale the teams delivering measurable business impact. You'll lead a team of engineers, shaping backend, frontend, and AI-native capabilities to propel acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention.

You'll work from our Seattle office three days a week as part of Growth Engineering, collaborating with Product, Design, Data Science, Marketing, and Sales to turn ambitious opportunities into reliable

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience leading engineering teams or complex technical initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience designing, building, and operating scalable production systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering execution, owning the delivery of complex Growth initiatives from planning to launch and improvement.
Drive technical direction, guiding scalable backend services, frontend apps, event-driven systems, and AI-native capabilities.
Build and develop a high-performing engineering team with mentorship and ownership culture.
Partner across Product, Design, Data Science, Marketing, Sales, and other teams to translate problems into roadmaps and solutions.
Drive measurable business outcomes using experimentation and data to prioritize opportunities.
