Job summary

PIMCO is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Global Legal & Compliance team in the United States. The role focuses on supporting and enhancing the adviser compliance program, ensuring regulatory alignment and embedding integrity across the organization.

The successful candidate will contribute to policy development, governance, risk assessments, and training initiatives, collaborating with international Compliance colleagues to harmonize practices and strengthen controls.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated compliance experience within a sophisticated investment management environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements applicable to investment managers, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support the global adviser compliance program across accounts, funds, and alternatives by contributing to policies, procedures, training, and monitoring activities.
• Harmonize approaches with global Compliance colleagues and ensure consistent application of regulatory standards worldwide.
• Assist in risk assessments, testing programs, and documentation of controls; recommend improvements based on findings.
• Draft, review, and enhance compliance policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Prepare clear internal and external communications for governance forums and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Identify process improvements and leverage technology to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
