Job summary

Texas A&M University System's Research Development Services seeks an Associate Director to lead faculty training, proposal development, and grant strategy. You will partner with faculty, academic leaders, and research stakeholders to strengthen grant competitiveness and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.

The role oversees RDS programs, staff, and outreach across campus, directing budget planning and analytics, and ensuring compliance with policies while advancing institutional research

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight years of related experience in research development, professional development, grant writing, or research administration.
• CRA credential or active involvement in national research development groups preferred.
• Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating long-term faculty grant-writing cohort programs.
• Active participation in national research development organizations.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and hosts professional and proposal development training programs for faculty and other users.
• Provides guidance and support to researchers in proposal development.
• Develops and coordinates documentation provided to customers.
• Participates in training and professional development focusing on leadership.
• Develops strategic plans and sets goals for programs in collaboration with administration.
