Kean University is seeking an Associate Director of Interior Design to lead renovation and space planning efforts across Union, Jersey City, and satellite campuses. You will manage design criteria, coordinate resources, and drive projects from planning through completion.

The role requires travel to campus locations, a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, and a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years supervising design and space allocation. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
• Two years of professional experience supervising design, planning, furniture specification and relocation and space allocation.
• Driver’s license valid in New Jersey.
• Ability to perform tasks that require moderate physical activity (driving, walking long distances, standing).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Revit.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and related software.
• Ability to create space plans, furniture plans and finish schedules.

Responsabilidades

• Provide managerial oversight for day-to-day renovation and refurbishment projects across multiple campus locations.
• Coordinate allocation and implementation of space projects and establish interior design criteria.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with design and operational requirements.
• Lead project teams from planning through implementation and completion.
• Perform existing-condition evaluations and oversee vendor/contractor performance.
