Job summary

Kean University in Union, New Jersey invites adjunct applications for Architecture to teach courses in-person at the Union campus. Qualified candidates may be contacted if there is an opening or future openings.

Adjuncts are non-tenure track and must hold a master’s degree in a related field with teaching experience. Proficiency in a Learning Management System is required, and adjuncts must provide weekly outside-class availability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D. or other doctorate encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Teach Architecture courses in-person at the Union campus.
• Teach architectural design studio and lecture courses in history, theory, representation or technology.
• Provide at least one hour of availability outside class per week per taught class; may include additional office hours.
• Adjuncts are paid per credit under the Collective Bargaining Agreement: $2,100 per credit (Sept 2025) and $2,225 per credit (Sept 2026), with +$75 per credit after 13th semester.
